IMfT Visit to The Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA)
On 24 September 2009 IMfT Members toured the impressive facilities at MIRA.
Vehicle engineering specialist, MIRA, is recognised as one of the world's leading independent vehicle design, development, and certification organisations.
MIRA operates across the whole range of transport technologies including automotive, defence and aerospace. The organisation offers particular expertise in vehicle safety, aerodynamics, thermal management, nvh (noise vibration & harshness), dynamics, refinement, electrical systems, EMC (Electro-magnetic Compatibility) engineering, powertrain integration, environmental engineering and all aspects of durability.
Customers, including vehicle manufacturers, systems and component suppliers, are increasingly turning to MIRA for a head-start with advanced vehicle engineering projects such as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and low carbon and autonomous vehicle technologies.
